The summer season is fast approaching - time for picnics, festivals and summer parties. Why not treat your staff to a corporate away day to boost their morale and motivation during the long sunny days? We have several activities available, from team building events to corporate family fun days. As a mobile events company – with offices based in London, Belfast, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Manchester – we can provide a corporate day at any location of your preference.
World Productivity Day is on the 20th of June and offers an excellent opportunity to get your team together to plan activities that promote productivity in the workplace. Set up some targets and goals that on completion, will earn your employees a bonus or reward for their hard work.
We’ve put together some other ways in which you can promote ongoing productivity at work.
While it may seem to be counter-productive, being able to take regular breaks during a long task has been shown to boost productivity amongst staff members. Working for 30, 60 or 90 minutes at a time, followed by a short break to move around or get a drink, assists in maintaining a steady level of performance. On the other hand, working for longer time periods with no breaks leads to a breakdown of performance and productivity.
We’ve all heard people call themselves adept at multitasking, however, as it turns out, multitasking isn’t good for our minds. We can easily overload our brains, making us sluggish and unmotivated and causing us to lose time during work. Promoting focus on a sole task gives workers breathing room, ensuring they apply their full attention to the task at hand.
We’ve all got deadlines to work towards but encouraging staff to set their own deadlines (within reason) can help make employees feel more in control, as well as promoting a focus on the work at hand and increasing productivity in the workplace.
Your staff work hard for your business, so it’s only right that they feel valued and know their efforts are appreciated. Offering incentives not only assists in boosting morale but it can also have positive results for the company as staff work harder to meet targets.
If you’d like to treat your staff to an event outside the workplace in exchange for their hard work, we can build your tailored corporate away day or offer an entertainment package for daytime or evenings.
