We give teams the plans (and tools) to create individual 3D shapes which fit together to form a team pyramid. When each shape is ready, teams must then decorate them with messages or colours, which should be correctly aligned.

Teams must then collaborate to join their pyramids to create one giant pyramid, ensuring the decorative design is uniform and matching when joined together.

Problem-solving, time and resource management skills are required to construct a series of shapes and then form them in the correct layout – it’s like a giant 3D puzzle. Progressing from a team activity to a whole group challenge, ‘Flat out pyramids’ illustrates the value of each participant working to a common goal, a lesson that stands the test of time.
